Cracow is the most academic city of Poland. It is a City with a perfectly balanced combination of tradition and modernity. Just not as any other town at every moment one can feel a students’ atmosphere. In the region there are about 157 thousand students. Cracow is the location of top ranked universities, both Polish and international. Here you can find in abundance graduates of all disciplines and therefore it is a perfect place for recruiting companies.The Career Fair (next edition: October 26, 2010) is organized in co-operation with the Career Office of Jagiellonian University in Krakow and therefore the Fair attracts mainly students of this university. 45% Of all visitors are students of Jagiellonian University, which has  about 45 thousand students in total, making it the biggest university in Cracow and second biggest in Poland (after Warsaw University). Jagiellonian University takes the highest position of all Polish Universities in The Higher Education Supplement ranking.Cracow is attracting students of whole Poland.  The academic character of the city enhances its investment attractiveness. Many Polish and international companies have opened their company seats right here to get in touch with the best educated brains of Poland. This makes that at the same time it is a very competitive market for employers.  Statistics regarding the end of July 2009 shows that unemployment rate in Cracow is 3,6% while for Poland it is 10,8%. It proves that even at the time of economical slow-down, for employers it is still a challenge to recruit and keep best candidates. Jagiellonian University is providing courses at 15 faculties. Candidates of all of them will be present at the Career Fair in October. This faculties are: Law and Administration; Medicine; Pharmacy; Health Sciences; Philosophy; History; Philology; Polish Studies; Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science; Mathematics and Computer Science; Chemistry; Biology and Earth Sciences; Management and Social Communication; International and Political Studies; Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology.
